Communities in Indiana can check this statewide map to explore information on extreme heat, extreme precipitation, and floodplain land use data. The map shows current trends and 2050 emission scenarios for extreme heat and precipitation events, based on the Indiana Climate Change Impacts Assessment

Users can turn on the "Land Use" layer to visualize the distribution of developed land across the state: this can help them consider how land use may be impacted by increasing amounts of precipitation. Data on social vulnerability is also available by county or city/town. Users can also explore sensitivity to climate hazards and identify people and infrastructure that may be impacted by extreme events.
