Coastal Topographic Lidar

LiDAR, or Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing technology that uses lasers to measure vertical distances. The data can be used to create 3D maps.

This site offers U.S. topographic data gathered by many groups using a variety of lidar sensors. Users can also find links to free lidar processing tools and blog posts about using elevation data.
