Guam Waterworks Authority, Guam Transit Authority, and Department of Public Works aim to convert their fleets from traditional passenger vehicles to electric vehicles. By replacing vehicles, there will be a need to improve technical skills and knowledge at the agency to include specialized expertise in the operation and maintenance of EV technology. The project may lead to hiring new employees with specialized skills. The increase in EVs on island will increase the demand for a highly skilled local workforce who are able to maintain EVs and install and maintain charging systems.
