Strategy 7 of the 2019 plan aims to grow the clean energy economy. Since 2019, notable progress has included the establishment of the New Jersey Green Bank, NJ Clean Energy Loans program, and the Garden State Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy program to financially support clean energy investments. The establishment of the Green Workforce Training Grant Challenge prepares residents for growing job demand in the green economy and leadership on innovative technologies, such as green hydrogen, in addition to other programs through the Wind Institute for Innovation and Training.
