Cryosphere Now

The Cryosphere Now pages provide recent plots, maps, images, and assessments that illustrate the current state of the cryosphere (the frozen water part of the Earth system). Use the Cryosphere Now drop-down to access graphics representing near-real-time data on sea ice, snow, and the atmosphere. Information on permafrost, glaciers, and ice sheets may be six–twelve months old.
