Tool
Hawai'i Sea Level Rise Viewer
Description
This mapping tool gives users a way assess hazards and economic vulnerabilities associated with exposure to rising sea levels in Hawai'i. The Viewer shows projections of future hazard exposure while assessing different vulnerabilities due to rising sea levels.
Data in the tool come from the Hawaiʻi Sea Level Rise Vulnerability and Adaptation Report. Exposure is measured through the amount of flooding and coastal erosion in the area. Vulnerability is measured through potential economic loss and the effect on infrastructure, such as flooded highways.
Beneath the mapping tool, users can access data sources such as community plan areas, flood hazard zones, beaches, sand, and geology.
