Hawai'i Sea Level Rise Viewer

This mapping tool gives users a way assess hazards and economic vulnerabilities associated with exposure to rising sea levels in Hawai'i.

The Viewer provides map data showing projections of future hazard exposure while assessing different vulnerabilities due to rising sea levels. The tool's data on vulnerable areas and assets is found in the Hawaiʻi Sea Level Rise Vulnerability and Adaptation Report. The tool includes an interactive map that measures the exposure and vulnerability of the selected areas according to a certain increase in sea level. Exposure is measured through the amount of flooding and coastal erosion in the area. Vulnerability is measured through potential economic loss and the effect on infrastructure, such as flooded highways.

Beneath the mapping tool are listed data sources that focus on other overlays, which cover mapping and document data on topics such as community plan areas, flood hazard zones, beaches, sand, and geology.
