King County will partner with youth-serving organizations within frontline communities to build youth’s climate change and climate literacy and civic education. Young people are likely to experience climate change more intensely and for a larger proportion of their adult lives than older generations. They are also likely to be more marginalized in spaces where decision-making on climate policy, investments, and action occurs. These partnerships will identify and grow pathways for youth to serve in leadership positions in government working and advisory groups.
