Develop a Residential and Commercial Energy Assessment and Benchmarking Program - The City will establish its own residential and commercial energy assessment and benchmarking program to assess the consumption of electricity and natural gas used to power appliances and lights, produce hot water, and heat and cool rooms. Existing resources and partnerships such as the City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability’s Residential Direct Install Program and the Pacific Gateway Workforce Innovation Network will be evaluated and integrated into the program to increase the number of certified Home Energy Rating System raters in the community and expand local green job development opportunities.
