Perform Municipal Energy and Water Audits - The City will continue to increase efficient energy and water use in its buildings. These will include establishing a municipal building energy and water audit program and developing a schedule to produce a complete evaluation of energy and costsaving opportunities across the City’s building portfolio. One implementing action is partnering with local workforce and economic development entities such as Pacific Gateway Workforce Innovation Network and educational institutions like Long Beach Community College and LBUSD to identify and create job training and workforce development programs in emerging green industry sectors for the communities most impacted by climate change.
