DEP RainScapes designed and oversaw the creation of a teaching garden at the front of Rolling Terrace Elementary School, a Community School in Takoma Park, partnering with Nature Forward and MCPS on Earth Day 2025. These gardens and the canopy trees planted on-site last year cool the area and stabilize the soils under trees. Also, DEP Watershed Outreach designed and guided students in the creation of storm drain art.
