Description
Each season, U.S. and Canadian scientists share data to provide this summary of the Gulf of Maine's weather and climate impacts from the previous quarter, and outlooks for conditions during the coming quarter. The Gulf of Maine Region encompasses Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire in the United States and New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in Canada.
The product highlights conditions observed across the region including temperature and precipitation anomalies, drought conditions, and sea surface temperatures. For the upcoming quarter, the product offers outlooks documenting the most likely temperature and precipitation conditions, the state of the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), and drought status.
