Pacific Island Ocean Observing System (PacIOOS)

Description

Local government agencies, residents, and visitors can find real-time coastal and ocean observations as well as wave and water-level forecasts for many islands in the Pacific Ocean. In collaboration with a large network of partners, PacIOOS provides information, tools, and services to help inform decision making in Pacific communities on a daily basis.

The site offers observations and forecasts for Waves, Currents, Shoreline Impacts, Water Characteristics, and Weather for many islands in the Pacific Ocean. Users can access data from various sources in interactive maps. Island communities can use observations and forecasts to help them gauge when they need to protect their property from potential hazards.
