Northeast Indigenous Climate Resilience Network
The Northeast Indigenous Climate Resilience Network (NICRN) seeks to convene indigenous peoples to identify threats to indigenous self-determination and ways of life and to formulate adaptation and mitigation strategies, dialogues, and educational programs that build indigenous capacities to address climate-related issues.
The network embodies the cumulative work of the Sustainable Development Institute (SDI) at the College of Menominee Nation and its partners in addressing climate resilience issues and represents a next step forward in supporting broader engagement involving indigenous peoples and tribal nations worldwide.
The network website provides the latest tools and resources for indigenous peoples and scientists to work together towards meeting the current challenges of climate change. It includes information on climate change impacts, examples of how tribes are planning for climate change, projects and events, and other resources.
