Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) River Basin Drought & Water Dashboard

Decision makers can access real-time information and interactive maps describing drought conditions across the ACF River Basin.

Explore timely and reliable information on past, present, and future drought conditions across the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) River Basin. Through the ACF River Basin Drought & Water Dashboard, users can access interactive, easily shareable maps at the basin and county level, covering current conditions (including streamflow, reservoir, and soil moisture conditions), drought impacts, outlooks and forecasts, and historical drought information.

The Dashboard has four main sections:

  • ACF Dashboard Home
  • ACF Maps & Data: Explore interactive maps for the ACF River Basin, or jump to view conditions at the county level. Then, download high-quality, customizable map images for easy sharing.
  • Drought in the ACF River Basin Story Map: View this Story Map, which provides historical context on what drought looks like in the ACF Basin, a primer on how water resources are managed in the ACF, and a look ahead to the future.
  • Additional Resources: Find basin-wide drought resources, including climate and drought webinars; data, maps, and tools; and key state contacts.

Information available through the Dashboard can increase drought early warning capacity and support decision making across the ACF River Basin.

The Dashboard was developed as part of a NIDIS-supported project implemented by Albany State University Water Planning and Policy Center, Auburn University Water Resources Center, and NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). It was developed in close collaboration with the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
